This beautiful fluorite specimen from the Clara mine in Germany impresses with its translucency and fascinating blue zoning. The clearly structured crystals and the delicate colors make this piece an eye-catcher and a highlight of any mineral collection.

Origin and geology

The Clara mine is known for its exceptional fluorite finds and has made a name for itself among collectors worldwide. The area encompasses many old tunnels, the former open-cast mines and today's actual Clara pit, which is accessed via two mouth holes. Barite and ores were once mined, which were transported down into the valley by cable car.

Next to barite, the most sought-after mineral in the Clara mine is fluorite. Numerous shapes, excellent quality, lush crystal sizes and the attractive combinations with other minerals make it a very appealing mineral.

Translucency with fascinating color transitions

The translucent structure of fluorite allows the light to glide playfully through the crystals and highlights the soft blue zoning in particular. This interplay lends the piece an impressive elegance.

A collector's item of special quality

Fluorite specimens with such pronounced blue zoning are highly sought after. This piece is not only geologically interesting, but also an aesthetic masterpiece that no collection should be without.

Notes on the mineral

  • This product is a natural product and should be handled with special care.
  • Fluorite is sensitive to light and should be protected from sunlight, otherwise the color may fade.

Notes on the base

  • If the base is dusty or dirty, you can clean it with water and a soft cloth (e.g. made of viscose).
  • Please avoid using paper towels as these can cause fine scratches.
  • Special cleaning agents are generally not required.
