This specimen from the Elmwood mine is a prime example of the quiet stars among the showcases - fine, clear and full of little surprises. The fluorite cubes in a delicate, pale violet impress with their extraordinary transparency and calm presence. What makes this specimen special, however, is a delicate line of small, glittering crystals that runs across the piece - almost like a natural signature of the mine itself. This fine structure creates an attractive dynamic on the otherwise calm basic shape.

Fluorite in fine translucency

The fluorite cubes have a particularly pure appearance. Their cube shape is geometrically precise, the surfaces smooth and clear - as if polished by nature. The color is subtle: a fine, pale violet that reveals its full luminosity when illuminated directly or from the side. The high degree of transparency allows light to playfully pass through the crystals - an effect that creates fascinating reflections, especially in a well-lit display case.

A sparkling highlight

The real special feature of this piece lies in a natural formation of small, sparkling crystals, which is laid over the fluorite stone like a delicate setting. This line runs across the piece and looks like a deliberate composition. The tiny crystals sit directly on the fluorite surfaces and refract the light into countless tiny reflections. This detail gives the piece a special radiance.

Interplay of form and shine

The combination of the clear geometry of the fluorite cubes and the glittering lightness of the small crystals creates a beautiful tension. It is an interplay of structure and ornament, of order and liveliness. This visual depth makes the piece not only mineralogically interesting, but also artistically appealing - it invites you to keep discovering new details.

Representative presentation

We produced a custom-made acrylic glass base in-house for the presentation, which supports the piece securely and emphasizes its special features. The base is discreet and clear, with an engraved certificate of origin on the front - an aesthetic element that combines both function and indication of origin.

Variety of details from the Elmwood Mine

The Elmwood Mine in Tennessee is known for its variety of fluorite formations - from large, intensely colored specimens to subtle, almost poetic pieces. The fine crystal trimmings make this specimen an eye-catcher with great expressiveness.

For lovers of filigree compositions

This piece is aimed at collectors who are not just looking for size or color, but have an eye for the finer things - for structures, lines and the play of light. It is ideal for an illuminated display case, where the depth and glittering surface design are shown to their full advantage. A real antithesis - restrained and absolutely fascinating at the same time.

Notes on the mineral

  • This product is a natural product and should be handled with care.
  • Due to its delicate structure, there is a risk of damage through improper handling.
  • Keep out of the reach of children.
  • Fluorite is very sensitive to light and should therefore be protected from sunlight so that it does not lose its color.

Notes on the base

  • If the base is dusty or dirty, you can clean it with water and a soft cloth (e.g. made of viscose).
  • Please avoid using paper towels as these can cause fine scratches.
  • Special cleaning agents are generally not required.
