Pyromorphite - Tanzfleck deposit, Bavaria, Germany
This rare pyromorphite specimen comes from the little-known but geologically interesting Tanzfleck deposit in the Bavarian Forest. The region is known among experts for its occurrence of secondary minerals from the oxidation zone of former lead-zinc deposits.
Crystal structure and find aesthetics
The piece shows a fine collection of prismatic pyromorphite crystals that have grown closely together on the matrix. The crystals have a characteristic barrel-shaped formation, partly with slightly grooved surfaces and a smooth surface. Their good transparency and fine luster give the specimen a clear mineralogical significance.
Color nuances and light effect
The pyromorphite from Tanzfleck presents itself with a natural, grounded character in typically bright shades of olive to brown-green. In direct light, subtle differences in color depth are revealed, giving the piece a dynamic appearance.
Geologically significant collector's item
Finds from Tanzfleck are extremely rare today due to the limited distribution and restricted access to the deposit. This piece offers an exceptional opportunity to add a classic but underestimated German mineral deposit to your own collection. It combines rarity with crystalline quality and at the same time documents a piece of Bavarian mining history.
