Transparent elegance - gypsum from the Dachang mine, China

This extraordinary piece of gypsum from the renowned Dachang mine in the Chinese province of Guizhou captivates with its balanced aesthetics and the impressive clarity of the main crystal. At the center of the arrangement is a strikingly large, transparent gypsum crystal that looks as if it has been formed from glass - clearly structured, with sharply defined surfaces and a prismatic elegance that captures the light in a fascinating way.

An interplay of clarity and patina

This main crystal is surrounded by a group of smaller gypsum crystals that nestle decoratively against it. Some of these accompanying crystals are covered in a dark brown patina - a natural oxidation that enhances the contrast with the clarity of the crystals. This interplay of pure shine and earthy surface gives the piece depth and character, almost like a snapshot of a geological formation process.

Aesthetic composition with a natural expression

The arrangement of the crystals is harmonious and lively at the same time, with the central gypsum crystal rising majestically above the smaller ones. This interplay of size, shape and color makes the piece a particularly expressive representative of its kind.

High-quality presentation on a milled base

For a stylish and stable presentation, we manufactured a custom-made, CNC-milled acrylic base for this piece. The clear base visually lifts the plaster ensemble and enhances the impression of lightness and transparency - perfect for the display case, the collector's shelf or as a showpiece in an exhibition.

Plaster from Dachang - A specimen with character

The combination of flawless clarity, natural patina and aesthetic formation makes this piece a real specialty.

An exceptional specimen for connoisseurs - and a wonderful example of how exciting and expressive even the supposedly “simple” minerals can be when they are produced by nature in such a perfect form.
